The popular show to start showing Grassroots rugby live on FreeSports
Popular rugby league show Rugby AM will be using their FreeSports platform to broadcast live NCL games.
The RFL announced the deal today with 30 games set to be shown this year.
The show, started by Alex Simmons and Leeds Rhinos forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan, announced a three year deal with FreeSports, the sister channel of Premier Sports.
FreeSports started in the summer as a free alternative to Premier Sports and has a weekly reach of around 18 million, so to broadcast amateur rugby to that demographic could really help the game.
We at Pilkington Recs are looking forward to the prospect of this deal growing the amateur game to new heights.
