Pilkington Recs saw wins for their U10s side and their U18s side at Ince Rose Bridge and Wigan St Jude’s respectively.
The U10s made the trip to Greater Manchester and came away with a hard fought 18-10 victory.
Pilks recovered from a 10-0 deficit to record victory and coach Stuart King said it was some of the best defence he had seen at that level from both teams.
Meanwhile, the U18s made the journey to arch rivals Wigan to take on a tough St Jude’s side.
They made the journey with just 13 fit players as injury and other commitments start to take their toll on the squad.
Despite this, they still came away with a convincing 33-24 victory and huge credit must go to the 13 who played the full game without coming off.
It’s another good weekend for our sides who are starting to hit their strides as the season comes towards the halfway point.
