The season started for three of our young side, and it returned a mixed bag of results.
The U12s fixture in Leyland against the Warriors was called off as a result of the adverse weather that has been sweeping the nation over the last 24 hours or so. They play Newton Storm at home next week.
The U15s played out an absolute classic on Ruskin Drive against Rochdale Mayfield, but ultimately lost out 38-22. They have something to build on next week when they welcome Orrell St James to St Helens.
It was a bad day at the office for the U13s as they lost 46-4 at home to Warrington side Culcheth Eagles. They face a Wigan derby next Sunday at Wigan St Cuthberts.
