Today Pilks under 9's played an experienced well organised side on a cold rainy morning. Pilks started off slow but never let their heads go down, everyone gave 100% and did their best.
Jake Abel captained the Recs today and with a great performance both in defence and attack earned himself Parents Choice Player of the match, Codey Massam was awarded Top Tackler with a great defensive display, Logan King, Kyle Dancer Liam Coughlin and Owen Percival all had excellent games, some strong running off these lads making lots of metres for the team. keiron williams worked well for the team in attack with his fast feet and last but not least Ross Keogh with his first ever game off rugby league took the ball in well.
Our 1st try came from a great team effort with Owen offloading to Liam then a great pass out to Jake but he still had a lot of work to do and with Jake sidestepping his way through the hornets he eventually went over the try line. Our other try came from a great solo run from kyle Dancer, he broke through a gap in the defence and darted for the line.
Got to say a big well done today boys, tough weather conditions but everyone did their best and thats all we can ask for.
WELL DONE !!!
