Away to leyland

After both pilks and leyland paid respects with a minutes silence to Danny jones who sadly passed away last Sunday playing the sport he loved, Pilks u9's played an improved leyland side. Last year pilks dominated the game but the tables were turned today when leyland came out and defended like warriors.

I would like to thank leyland for lending us players today cause only 7 of our players could make it but the 7 played their hearts out and that's All we can ask as coaches.

Captain was Owen Percival, he is improving week by week and today was no different. His running with the ball is great and he always gets stuck in defence.

Top tackler with week was very close but Codey Massam edged it with a great defensive performance.

Kyle Dancer had his best game this season and earned himself Parents Choice Player of the match, he scored a great try but what impressed me the most was his defence was excellent.

Jake Abel was very close to earning himself an award today with a superb performance in both defence and attack, also scoring a great hat-trick.

Liam Coughlin ran hard and strong today (like in every game he plays) making problems for the opposite team in defence.

Ross Keogh again this week ran the ball in well and is getting more and more involved in the game.

Keiron Williams played great today but what impressed me was he took his passing skills from training onto the field and set jake up for one of his great tries.

Well done boys, keep your head up!!
