Pilkington Recs 3-8 Leigh East

Today Pilks hosted Leigh East a team that has switched over from the red group to our group. Leigh are a very strong side with a great defence but pilks never let that phase them.

In the first half Pilks matched Leigh all over the park and it ended up 2 tries apiece with the tries coming from Jake and logan.
The second half was a bit different when Leigh stepped up their attack and pilks tired abit. Scoreline was 6-1 in favour to Leigh and our try coming from Logan.

Todays captain was Liam Coughlin who lead from the front with yet another great performance, taking the ball in strong and was in the running for the player of the match.
Top Tackler could of gone to a few players but on his first ever game of rugby league Archie Parkins pipped everyone to the post with a fine display in defence, also Archie was in the running for Player of the match.
Parents Choice Player of the Match was very close too but Logan king stood out today with 2 great tries and also defensively was brilliant.
kyle Dancer, Owen Percival, keiron Williams, Ross Keogh, Jake Abel and Codey Massam all played fantastic too. All these lads have stepped up and showed their presents on the field.
