Fantastic Effort from the recs

Over the last couple of weeks pilks have lacked with effort in our defence so we have been concentrating on that in training. We asked them to go out today and show us what they can do and they did just that.

Pilks started off the game with some great running making some good metres with no one taking a backward step.
Our first try came from a brilliant run with josh taking 4 players over the try line with him. Our next 2 try's was scored by Logan king who as always shows us what he can do when he has the ball in his hands and our last try of the half came from Codey Massam who was determined to get the ball down over the line.
Not only did pilks show us that they can score try's they showed us that they can stop try's too, on 4 occasions pilks held the ball up and pushed the opposition back away from our try line. With great defence pilks finished the half 4-3.

After giving everything in the first half pilks started to tire in the second half, with us only having 9 players and Cadishead having13 they always had fresh legs on the field for them. Cadishead ran in 3 brilliant try's due to some great footwork and fast players.
Again Logan king went over for another try gaining his hat-trick and Codey Massam was denied a try after the ball was kicked out of his hands when he was over the try line. Again pilks effort in defence was fantastic which we have to applaud and not only was it the usual lads everyone stepped up and was excellent in defence.

Captain today was Kyle dancer who had is best game to date, his one on one tackling was fantastic. Kyle also gained some great metres for the team. Sam smith also stepped up his defence and not many players got past him today. Again this week Mr consistent Jake Abel kept his wing solid not letting anyone past him. It was great to see liam coughlin putting some good tackles in this week and as always running hard with the ball. After not wanting to play this week Ross keogh took to the field and ran the ball in well, in one instant Ross stopped one of cadisheads best players in her tracks with a great tackle. Keiron Williams again this week was great at dummy half also Keiron ran very well today looking to gain metres every time he took the ball in. Being the smallest on the pitch opposition tend to run at Keiron but today he stepped up and put in some cracking tackles and was up near the top in the tackle count. Josh mustard is proving to be a handful with his powerful running which gained him his try and his defence was second to none again this week. Codey Massam again this week came top tackler with a great defencive display also was great to see him finding gaps in their defence to go in for his try and last but not least Logan king who today was fantastic. Logan's determination to get to the try line today was superb which gained him his hat-trick also his defence was outstanding making some big hits and helping his team mates when needed, due to this Logan was awarded parents choice player of the match.
Just want to say that I enjoyed every second of the game today and I was all down to the effort the lads put in.
WELL DONE BOYS, PROUD OF U ALL TODAY!!
