Newton away

After a slow start down at Newton leaving the field at half time 4-1 to the storm with our try coming from Jake Abel. Pilks went back on and started showing us how they can play when their heads are on the game. Every single one of them worked for each other in both attack and defence. There was fantastic passing by Kyle dancer, Keiron Williams and Sam smith. Strong running by Ross keogh, Liam coughlin,Josh Mustard and some fancy footwork off Jake Abel, Logan king and Codey Massam to get through newtons brilliant defence and score their try's. Got to say in the second half it was good to watch 2 good sides battling it out in great spirit.

Try scorers were Jake Abel, Logan king and Codey Massam but these lads couldn't of scored without the rest of the team making good metres putting them in reaching distance of the try line.
Top tacklers were Josh Mustard and Codey Massam but again this week there was 3/4 pushing for the trophy which is good to see.
Parents choice player of the match was well earned this week by Jake Abel due to a fantastic display.

Just want to mention 1 particular lad who is new to the game but his attitude is spot on. After getting a really big hit and being taken off his feet by the biggest player I've seen at this age, Sam Smith just got back up dusted himself down and played on. Well done Sam!!
