What a great game of rugby this was, both teams gave everything in this game and me and Dave could not have been prouder of the boy's.
If your a fan of high scoring rugby then this was probably not the game for you.
But if your a fan of two team's giving it their all and good solid defences then this was one of the best.
The first half set the tone of the game with both teams running hard, trying to break each other's line, but defence's were that tight from both team's the only difference between the two at half time was a solitary try from Jack McIntyre.
In the second half as defence's starting to tire both teams had a bit more joy in attack and both side's scored three tries a piece.
But none of them were easy score's and again both side's had to run strong and hard to break each other's defence's which was brutal at times.
At the conclusion of the game with Bank quay having one last set it was in Pilk's hand's whether or not this game finished as a win for pilk's or a draw and with the same dogged determination they had shown all game pilk's stood strong and won the match 4-3
Captain for the day Jack McIntyre lead by example, he had an outstanding game in both attack and defence scoring two tries and was up near the top of the tackle count yet again.
Player of the match was Carl Grimley who showed us what he is capable of, carrying the ball really well and stepping up his game in defence.
Tackler of the match Ryan Halsall not only topped the tackle count but the ferocity of some of his hit's were outstanding.
Parents choice Sam Nevitt was an handful again this week with his strength, but also showed us how well he can tackle.
Rhys Edwards did a great job of protecting our flank's and was the scorer of two of our tries.
Another player I think deserves a special mention is Rohan Heyes because he is so good at protecting our flank's he doesn't always get the stat's he desrve's but without his contribution on the wing we would have leaked a lot more tries.
Max Nevitt, Nathan Flynn, Dezi Wlkinson, George Donghue, Josh Kempster and Ryan Middlehurst all played well, this was truly a great team performance well done boy's keep it up.
