Pilk's below par

If I am honest from the very beginning Pilk's didn't look like the team that put in a great performance of last Tuesday, heads were down in warm up and the body language of the full team wasn't very positive, I don't now if this was a bit of a hang over from Tuesday's match. When you play a good team like St Pat's you have to be on your metal.

Pat's showed their intention from the first minute they were well organized and passed the ball well, before we new it Pilk's were two nil down and the game looked as if it was going to spiral out of Pilk's control until the emergence of George D, his first contribution was a big hit which seemed to lift Pilk's and with a try from Ryan H, the first half finished three tries to one in favour of St. Pats.

In the second half Pilk's faired a bit better and this was a half I believe we could of won, although the score line was three two in favour of Pat's, in my opinion two of Pat's tries were preventable and it was down to Pilk's unwillingness to tackle.
Pilk's did finish on a high with Rohan H scoring in the corner after a great pass from Rhys Edwards.

Big positive today was a below par performance only resulted in a 6 - 3 defeat against a very good team.

Player of the match George Donoghue as I mentioned before changed the game when he come on and carried the ball well straight down the middle

Captain and tackler of the match Max Nevitt really upped his numbers today in defence which showed bravery after getting hurt putting a big hit on someone in Tuesday's game.

Parents choice was Ryan Middlehurst this is no surprise as he made good yards and topped the tackle count.

Rohan Heyes got on the score sheet after finishing off what was Pilk's best move of the match.

Ryan Halsall finally broke his duck this year with two tries and also did his fair share in defence as he always does.

A player I think should get a special mention this week is Ben Lynch who is growing in confidence every week not only did he do one of the best runs I have seen him do he followed it up with the best tackle I have seen him do, well done.

Also playing well was Aaron Pinnington , Sam Nevitt, Carl Grimley Josh Kempster and Nathan Flynn
