Pilk's Recs u9's 4 - 4 Hindley

Before the game me and Dave had already decided at half time I was going to step off the pitch regardless of the score.
As the score would suggest this was a tight game against two side with contrasting styles.

Hindley liked to throw the ball about, while Pilk's defence kept this game close.
Pilk's goal line defence today was very good holding up Hindley players time and time again.
Tries in the first half from Ryan Halsall, Samual Nevitt and Jack Mc meant Pilk's went in at half time three tries to two up.

The second half the kid's were on their own and to be fair considering they only found out 20 minute's before kick off that this was going to happen I think they did very well.
Again the second half was similar to the first and Pilk's defence was good again.
Hindley won this half two tries to one and the game finished four tries apiece.

Captain for the day was Ben Lynch who did us all proud playing for Hindley for a bit and running really well this a player high on confidence at the minute and it is really showing in his game.

Player of the match Kyle Montieth looked back to his best with some great run's really ripping it up down the middle.

Jack McIntyre was tackler of the match this week but not only was he good in defence he was also good in attack.

Rhys Edwards was parents choice adding another try to his tally and doing more than his fair share in defence.

With good games from Aaron Pinnington, Maxwell Nevitt, Nathan Flynn, Dezi Wilkinson, George Donoghue, Ryan Middlehurst and Rohan Heyes who we tried out at fullback and did really well for us. well done keep it up.

Today was a first step into getting us ready for next year so the children don't have to learn all the new rules at the same time and I believe they did well and me and Dave are very proud of them.
