Today was never about the result but about the performance and the attitude. Despite not getting the win the lads were fantastic and played some of their best ever rugby. Couldn't fault a single one of them. After over a year since they last played a game it was nice to see them back out their enjoying it. Plenty to work on but there was far more positives to be taken away from today than negatives. They really have come on a lot. The only difference between the 2 sides today was Golbornes number 3 who nobody could lay a finger on, very good player.
Things got a little scrappy late on when they all got tired but that was to be expected after such a long lay off and a short pre season. All in all we we're mega pleased with some of the things we saw today
