Tough Season Opener For Recs U8s

St Judes with an unbeaten season last year traveled to Recs for the season opener. After last seasons fixtures being a very close and tough encounter is was always going to be a great game.

St Judes started the brighter with tough defence and strong running giving them a 4 tries to 0 lead at the half way point. It seemed recs were still in bed. After the half way point Pilks came out with a better defensive attitude and began to compete. Tries from Tyler Preston and Harvey Wynne getting recs back into the game.

Some big hits from Paddy Hyland, Jacob Rigby and Charlie Hall were helping Recs battle in a very tough game but in the end Judes proved to strong going over for a futher 3 tries in the last 15 minutes.

Many positives to take from the game and many areas to improve but what an effort from the lads today and well done Judes a great team performance from them im sure this wont be the last strong battle between these sides.
