The Reds part of our U8s side visited Leigh Miners today as the group games got back underway after a summer break.
Leigh started strongly with their powerful number 12 breaking the line to cause havoc before their pacey number 3 finished to go ahead early on, but Rec's came back even stronger with Tane O'Hara, Kajus Plauska and Tyler Preston showing strong running in the middle and the dynamic Charlie Hall darting over for Pilks first try.
This revival continued with the pacey Ellis Forber crossing, followed by Connor Pinnington and Tyler Preston powering over.
Miners scored again after this in a play which was to be admired again the strong number 12 creating for a pacier teammate this however was the last time Leigh would cross the Pilks try line as Recs upped the tempo to cross for 5 tries the first saw Recs move the ball through hands to score in the corner in a super move finished by Tyler Preston. The last four tries were full of offloads. support play, drop offs and many great passes.
A fantastic all round display today 1-8 were fantastic defensively and in attack, well done boys.
Best for Recs today were
Lightening Computers Man Of The Match Tyler Preston
Masons Arms Most Improved Euan Rouski-Lowe.
