Close game between Recs and Leigh Miners Golds

With Leigh Miners having a well established side playing our lads today it was part of these new lads development to play a side with over a years rugby in the bank.

Recs started well with some powerful running from Lucas Sephton and the returning Rio Low on his second debut for the club.

Great defence from Milne-Thomas Walker and Lewis Williams made it hard for Leigh to get over the Recs line but as the game went on Miners finally got to grips with the game and sneaked ahead. With both sides going toe to toe with tries for the remained of the game Recs just missed getting a W today.

Even in a loss its a proud day for these lads, their coaches and their parents as Lucas Sephton added 4 tries to his tally this year with Charlie Babbs also showing great speed and footwork to bag 4 tries. To think he has only been playing since February is a great feat in itself.
