Pilks Reds ventured to Orrell St James this morning for a muddy game of rugby filled with offloads, tough tackling and strong running from both sides.
Mason Melia backed up last weeks great display with another fine performance as he looks to have regained his fine form from last season. Pilks started really strong with the middle men Tane O'Hara, Tyler Preston and Connor Pinnington setting the platform for the likes of Ellis Forber and Jacob Rigby to move the ball.
The Orrell side tested Pilks by moving the ball but which ever area of the field they attacked Recs were outstanding in defence Jack Dixon and Zac Wilson showing how much they have developed this year with some fine tackling.
Charlie Hall was again superb from hooker to lead the team round the field and with power house Kajus Plauska interchanging for O'Hara after 10 minutes there was no stopping the Pilks intensity.
This was simply the best display the boys have put on this year with dummy runners, support play, moving the ball at speed and defending like warriors it was a pleasure to watch.
Fantastic to watch today boys well done.
Best for Recs today was Lightening Computer Man Of The Match Jacob Rigby
