Pilkington Recs Reds Vs Leigh Miners U9's

Old school rugby today, muddy pitch, cold conditions and some big hits and powerful running.

Recs started on fire with strong carries from Connor Pinnington, Kajus Plauska and Tyler Preston punching holes down the hill into Miners defensive line. Ellis Forber made the most of the go forward the big men gave Pilks to burst through for the first try of the day.

The impressive Tyler Preston was next to get on the score board with a powerful carry taking him over the line this was quickly followed by a superbly angled run through the defensive line by Jacob Rigby who shown a burst of pace to add another try for Pilks.

Miners came strong at the Pilks defence but superb tackling from Charlie Hall, Tane O'Hara and Harvey Wynne kept them out.

Euan Rouski-Lowe and Zac Wilson with some strong carries round the ruck gave Preston the field position to cross for his second of the day closely followed by another Ellis Forber try.

Pilks lead 20-0 at half time in what was a superb display, more of the same second half boys....

Leigh came out very strong after half time with some great defence and it was a battle of bravery and nutrition in the middle for the next ten minute with both sides showing character before Tyler Preston burst through to score his third of the day.

Pilks weren't done there the superb Kobi Greenall who was on fine form showed great skill to pick up a pass off his toes and burst through for a well deserved try.

Pilks defence was simply bullet proof today, 1-12 the lads were superb well done boys.
