What a game, both sides went hammer and tong for 40 minutes with big hits, great skill, powerful running this game had the lot.

Pilks started slow with the 9am kick off it was as if we were still in bed. Leigh capitalised on this with the first try of the day, Pilks were struggling to go forward and break the Leigh defence.

Then up stepped Ellis Forber with some sharp footwork and speed getting him away for the first Recs try, Leigh came back strong and a lazy tackle in the middle of the field costing Pilks as the East side crossed to go 2-1 up.

10 minutes in and with a quick break gave coaches chance to advise the boys were we could improve and with some changes to our attack we began to trouble the Leigh side. Ellis Forber again making the break to Level 2-2.

Pilks werent done there some immense defence and line speed keeping Leigh pinned in for 15 minutes meant Kobi Greenall could take advantage with great footwork and speed bagging 2 tries. Forber also added another thanks to his determination to break the tackle.

5-2 up and Recs were looking very good, they continued with strong defence with Tyler Preston, Charlie Hall and Jacob Rigby leading the line up. Rigby then turned to his attacking skills to supply the speedster Jack Dixon with a great pass to bag the 6th try for Pilks.

Superb display all round from the lads in tough conditions well done.
