Pilkington Recs Ambers Vs Latchford Giants Blacks U9s

This week our Ambers side took on Latchford Giants Blacks a side that competed in group A last season.

Latchford started the game strong and raced ahead with a 3 try lead before the powerful Lucas Sephton replied with a great solo effort.

Pilks began to show their talent in attack with the gazelle Logan Speakman racing past several players to bag a great try, this was quickly followed by 2 more great efforts to get a hat-trick.

Latchford were causing us some problems in defence and at half time they were 10 tries to 4 up, it was going to take some real character from the young Pilks side to get back into the game.

Shortly after half time Kajus Plauska came on for the Ambers giving them some much needed power down the middle, he immediately gave the Recs a lift with a powerful run ending in a try for the big strong forward.

Pilks looked to have more resolve about them with Plauska in the middle he also added 2 more tries to grab a hat-trick also.

Last but not least Lucas Sephton completed his hat-trick with a barnstorming run.

Unfortunately Latchford were to strong for us today but the boys were fantastic to compete with a side 5 groups above is a brilliant achievement well done boys.
