A lovely Sunday for rugby league saw Latchford Giants travel to Ruskin to play our reds side.
Latchford started the stronger forcing Recs into an error off kick off, on the back of the error Latchford capitalised to score first.
This woke the Pilks boys who showed their class to take charge of the game after some strong carries from Tane O'Hara and Tyler Preston.
10 in and Pilks made some substitutions bringing Ellis Burgess, Paddy Hyland and Mason Melia off the bench and all 3 gave a the Pilks side a second wind with speedster Burgess causing the Latchford defence trouble off the back of a scoot.
Harvey Wynne again put in a strong performance to get the Pilks side up field before Greenall finished a fine move to score giving recs some breathing room with the score line.
The last 15 minutes Pilks upped their defensive efforts and again a super move to put Greenall in space meant the electric centre could complete his hat trick.
All the lads performed superb today in tough conditions with 11 lads across the squad unavailable it meant some lads playing out of position or in a different side than recently and those lads really showed up for us today well done boys.
Best for Recs today were
Rigby Civils Most Improved Kobi Greenall
Alfred H Knight Man Of The Match Tyler Preston
Special mention to Zac Wilson who played in a new role at hooker and performed superbly well done Zac.
