Today was one of the proudest mornings I have spent as a coach, this was not because of the score line but due to the fact the lads played as a team with great support running, passing at the right times and all round great attacking play.

I can honestly say that every single player in red amber and black gave their all today there was no selfish play or glory hunting with recs in such fine form the coaching staff have a real headache with selection of late. It was good to see Ethan Williams back in the famous shirt after it looked like he had decided to stop playing for a little while and he had a good game on the wing with Rhys Helsby putting him in space several times to attack down the left flank. For the first half Ryan Lockett volunteered to play for the Cadishead side as the where short of players and he had a good start with strong running he swapped at half time with Adam Able who also volunteered to play for the visitors Adam was fantastic for the away team scoring twice for them after already scoring once for his own club in the first half. The Game was tight for the main with Able scoring first for recs but was unable to add the 2 cadishead replied with strong running to cross for their first score they also couldnt add the 2. After a sharp scoot from Jared orrick he was able to force his way over the line for recs second try and was also unable to kick the goal and again Cadishead came back. Strong running front rower Mike Bates came off the bench to get recs back infront for Cadishead to level things up again, 12 all at half time and the Recs coaches asked for more great attacking play but for the lads to tighten defence around the ruck it was the lads effort defensively second half that saw them take charge of the game with only Adam Able and one other try adding points for Cadishead. Whilst Edward Fisher,Adam Khan,Ryan Lockett,Mike Crabbe 2,Ethan Williams all crossing for a try in red amber and black. Goals where added from Rhys Helsby, Ryan Lockett,Tom Prescott,Ethan Williams.

This Left the Ruskin based side 44-26 ahead at full time with all the lads having such a great game it was head to give the awards out this week

Awards finally went to
Man Of The Match - Rhys Helsby who had his best game yet and proved its not about scoring tries its about your all round game.
Top Tacker - Jamie Williams who is having a great season all round
and Most Improved - Mike Crabbe who is improving week in week out with powerful running in the pack.

WELL DONE!!!!! boys more of the same :)
