The early signs indicated that this was going to be a close game, but as Pilks lost confidence and refereeing decisions didnt go their way Thatto were able to take a strangle hold on the game. Tries from Rhys Helsby and Lewis Caine gave the red amber and black side hope but unfortunately Thatto's attack found holes in the Pilks defense. Jamie Williams was immense defensively yet again for the ruskin based side. Rhys Ascroft has continued his massive improvement with strong running but Michael Crabbe came off the bench to show raw power and effort to give the side a real impact.
