Great effort for pilks

Today Pilks hosted Haydock warriors at ruskin drive on a perfect day for rugby league.
Pilks won the coin toss and decided Haydock would start the game with a kick to us. When the game got under way both teams put in some good attacking plays and the game went try for try.
Haydock came out in the second half and stepped it up a gear but pilks couldn't match them like they did in the first half.

I'd like to thank haydock for coming to make it a great game all round, lee and dave for helping me out today and lindon in doing a great job as always.

Todays efforts from the lads was brilliant, even when they went behind they never let their heads go down which is good to see. All working hard for each other and building as a team.

Todays awards were hard to pick and were very close. Starting off with top tackler, it could of gone to a few lads but it was given to a lad that puts his body on the line in every tackle he makes! Well done Archie Parkins.

Parents choice went to Keiron Williams who today just showed us that he is a little speedster and was denied his first try being only inched from the try line when he got tackled. Well done.

I gave a new award out today for team player which Kyle dancer earned for being good in all aspects of the game. Well done.

The rest of the lads was excellent too with great running by Josh, Owen and Ross. Jake, Codey and Logan with fancy footwork earning good metres and Charlie, Joe and Sam all running straight and hard at Haydocks defence.
