RECS V BROOK

Pilks U10's hosted Blackbrook blues today at ruskin and what a great game of rugby it was. Pilks came back from a beating last week and just showed how good they can play. Even thou the score line was 38-64 the game was a lot closer. Some great rugby was shown by both teams today which lead to some quality trys being scored.

The first half was the best for Pilks with some fantastic defence and well worked trys from all the boys leaving us only 8 points behind at half time. 22-30. Second half the lads still put as much effort in but tired towards the end leading to more trys getting scored past us. Final result was 38-64.

Captain today was Codey who had a good game and doing a few try saving tackles, Logan king earned himself Parents choice with a standout performance, his defence was great today but his attack was fantastic scoring 5 brilliant trys. Archie again this week stepped up in defence and was awarded top tackler, I cant fault his effort week in week out and he also added a try to his tally. Team player this week was given to joe cause over the last couple of game he has come on leaps and bounds and with another great game today it was well deserved. Josh played great today ploughing through brooks defence scoring a try and having one held up over the line, kyle, charlie and sam also played their part in the game making good meters for the team, ross ran well and did some great passes and last but not least Keiron again had another great game finding gaps in the defence. What was pleasing today was that none of the lads backed down and give up, they listened to what I wanted from them and went out and did it. Well done lads.
