Much better performance, in all areas.

With the weather being unkind to us in wet, cold conditions you might have thought the game would be a write off. However with both sides going toe to toe right from the start, it turned out to be a great entertaining game. Some good rugby was seen from both sides.
With Pilks defending strong right from the the start, they were unlucky to go behind first. And with the Recs making great yards soon after, Max Tracey took it upon himself to open his account with a great try in the far corner.
Recs were always a threat, Rebecca Benthom making fantastic yards with some great runs and todays captain Charlie Swift and Cameron Cranny backing up their previous weeks performance with some strong go forward. Patrick Buckley was unfortunate to have a try disallowed, that could have brought us into the break even.
Making their debuts today were Ethan Moore and Reece Boadey both of whom played their part and sloted in well.
In the second half Orell ran way with it score wise, but Recs came close with Luc Holloway screaming down the wing, only for a great Orell tackle that sent him into touch. And Daniel Tabern was also stopped by a last ditch tackle that prevented him from crossing the line.
The lively Joshua Burton was to score recs only other try of the game,
Again defensively Recs were good and Patrick Buckley was putting some massive tackles in throughout the game, but Orell had some great go forward themselves, and found the gaps and space to and capitalised putting points on the board.
In truth I felt the result could have, and should have been closer.
The effort from the players again was immense, and as we're pretty much a new unit coming across more experienced teams, it will take a little while to get up to speed.
Todays Man of the match was Joshua Burton, who looked dangerous everytime he had the ball. Patrick Buckley pushed very close, and was in contention too.
