After last weeks win for the Newbies at Rylands Tigers Sharks, we spoke to coach Michael Coke about the team, this is what he had to say:
"The match couldn't have gone any better. The kids worked together and talked in attack and defence.
"They were quick off the line to smuggle Rylands' attack, and only allowed three tries.
"We also had great speed in attack, with Riley and Freddie, Tommy followed up in every attack.
"Ruby and Rueben showed their strength with the ability to stop, helping them over the line.
"Maquez showed his talent with the ball, scoring three tries. But he showed his true colours in defence.
"We couldn't be anymore proud of them on Sunday. The future of Pilks is bright with this team."
The Newbies are back in action on Sunday when they play their first game at Ruskin Drive against Blackbrook.
