From The Dugout

Another poor start was our downfall last weekend as we fell to defeat at home.

As in previous games this year we’ve started poorly and left ourselves too much to do despite showing promise in the second half of games.

Last week against Dewsbury Celtic we were 18-0 down after only 15 minutes, and after finally getting ourselves back into a game, ultimately it was the start cost us as we fell to defeat 24-16 with Dewsbury also scoring a late try.

This weekend we’re at home against Wigan St Judes as we look to learn from our mistakes of the last few weeks. We can certainly take positives out of last week’s game, especially in how we got ourselves back into the game through hard work and set completion. We’ve spoken this week about how we need them both from the start of the game to give us the best possible chance.

St Judes have started the season very well with only 1 loss to date, so our players know that they will have to put in performance for the whole game if we’re to stand any chance of competing.
