All ten lads were superb again defensively the last month these boys have been impeccable and today was no different.

With 10 lads away or ill this week the Pilks squad was stretched to the maximum with three games but these boys just keep on showing us how impressive they are. Another week and another player stepping up to play at group a level, Paddy Hyland who hasn't played group a since early in the year joined the Reds team today and he was superb throughout.

West Bank started the stronger with Pilks a little scrappy as coaches have tried their best recently to not talk to the boys when they have the ball and let the boys make their own decisions as a side. This lead to Pilks being held in the first couple of sets something that hasn't happened much lately but in the third set Pilks had the ball the elusive Ellis Forber yet again showed great speed and footwork in attack to beat several defenders and cross for the first try.

West Bank came at Recs with everything trying both edges and the middle men but there was no joy as the Pilks lads showed great resilience to keep them from crossing for a try in the first 20 minutes.

Tyler Preston and Charlie Hall led from the middle to keep Pilks on the front foot and with Forber beating defenders for fun Pilks found themselves 16-0 up after half an hour. Forber then turned provider supplying Jacob Rigby and Charlie Hall with great passes for the dynamic duo to cross for a couple of tries.

As Recs tired West Bank took advantage with a strong run from number 3 putting them on the front foot and number 13 capitalised to cross for a try. A great performance and result for the Pilks lads with one week to go it has been a fantastic season for the U8's with plenty of great memories on to Clockface away next week for the Reds.

Best for Pilks were
Lightening Computers Man Of The Match Ellis Forber
A180 Darts Most Improved Charlie Hall and Tyler Preston who shared the award.

Well Done Boys.
