Today was derby day when pilks crossed over in to blackbrooks turf ready for a tough battle. Stright from the off pilks was on the back foot going 2 trys down without pilks getting a look at thier try line. But pilks stuck together and started coming in to the game with some strong tackle from Leo and Tommy finally pilks crossed the line thanks to to some quick hands from Tyler and Riley to put Nathan in the corner for are 1st try. Pilks stuck to their game plan tackling hand and passing the ball on attack with a great set play try between Leo and Tommy. Tyler was bossing the pack around sorting the runners out and on the back of that some good running from oban Isaac Toby. Pilks managed to claw themselves back I to the game bringing it level with 5 minutes left to play untill blackbrook crossed the line 2 minutes till time but pilks do what pilks do never give up with the last play of the game Toby went on a run spotting a gap and going for it bringing it back level. The score finished 40 40 and every play did thier coach proud. The star player for the day was Leo Briers for his strong running bone crunching tackles but also showing his ability in passing setting up some nice trys. The man of the match today was Tommy Moores given by blackbrook with a wopping 26 tackles and 6 trys tommy left anything on the field today and well deserved. The kids did great today and now it's time to switch to the next game and go 1 better with a win great team effort today same again next week.
