Pilkington Recs made it 3 defeats on the spin, despite a spirited performance at Dewsbury Moor.
Things had started well, with Jamie Smith getting over the line for a try within the opening quarter. Tom Connick’s conversion hit the post.
But just before the half hour, that lead has evaporated, and Dewsbury Moor also got the conversion to open up a two point lead.
At the start of the second half, Pilks levelled the game with a Connick penalty.
Soon after, they took the lead for the second time, Harry Coleman using his power to come off the post and score. Connick converted for a six- point lead.
But just before the hour mark, the game flipped on it's head. The scored a converted try, then added a penalty to go in front. Just two minutes later, they added another try.
Dewsbury Moor added another with the final play of the match. It was a scoreline that felt harsh on Pilks, but they start the season with three straight defeats.
