Pilkington Recs are still looking for their first away win of the season after defeat at Shaw Cross Sharks
The hosts took the lead after just seven minutes, before going the length of the field to go in 10-0 up at the break.
Pilks needed to respond in the second half and they did. Tom Connick stripped the ball high up the pitch, and from the resulting set, Warren Paladino went over under the posts. Connick converted to reduce the deficit to four points.
Just past the hour, Pilks completed the turnaround. Jamie Smith managed to get himself over. Connick kicked the conversion to put the visitors ahead by two points.
But with 10 minutes to go, Shaw Cross mounted a fightback. They took the two to level the scores, then scored almost straight away to go back in front, and then right at the end, scored another try to rubber stamp the victory.
Pilks will be looking to bounce back when they face a third straight away trip to Dewsbury, when they take on Dewsbury Celtic.
