Pilkington Recs suffered their second home defeat of the season as they went down 46-24 to Egremont Rangers.
The hosts fell behind after 11 minutes, but responded three minutes later when Ryan Lockett spotted a gap and burst through. Kyran Knapper, making his first appearance of 2026, added the conversion to edge Pilks in front.
Egremont responded with two further tries before the break, though Aidyn Jones crossed to keep Pilks in touch. The visitors had the final say of the half however, taking an 18-10 lead into the interval.
It was a difficult start to the second half as Egremont added their fifth try, but Pilks again found a response when Warren Paladino powered through under the posts, with Knapper converting.
Egremont added another before Keenan Parr touched down out wide after a scramble to keep Pilks in the contest.
The visitors then added three further tries to put the result beyond doubt, although Pilks had the final word when Tyrese Daley crossed late on after another scramble on the wing.
Pilks now have a week off for the May bank holiday before travelling to Oulton Raiders on 9 May.
