Pilkington Recs suffered a fifth straight defeat in the league, as they fell to defeat at home to Oldham St Annes.
It was a Pilks side that showed four changes to the side that was defeated by Oulton Raiders last time out. Owain Abel, Tyler Duberry, Lewis Griffiths and Kyran Knapper all came out of the team for various reasons. Replacing them in the team were Jack Tinsley, making his first appearance for the first team, the returning Aaron Lynch, Zak Hopkins and Luke Riley.
The visitors started well, and got a try on 14 minutes, which was converted in what was the only points scored in a first half of few clear cut chances.
To make matters worse for Pilks, they were forced into a reshuffle as Ben O'Connell came off with a calf injury.
The second half followed a similar pattern. A penalty goal for the visitors were the only points for a while.
Meanwhile, Lewis Davies was also forced off with a hamstring injury in another disjointed half of rugby.
But Pilks did force a grandstand finish. Ian Mather was able to break through and get over for a try. Tom Connick couldn't convert, but there was only four points in it.
But with the last play of the game, the visitors kept the ball alive and went over to kill the game.
Pilks now have two weeks off before facing Stanningley away from home.
