It was another difficult afternoon on the road for Pilkington Recs, who suffered another heavy defeat at the hands of Wigan St Patrick's.
Pilks made three changes to the side that beat Shaw Cross Sharks last time out. Aidyn Jones, Warren Hyland and Richard Rafferty came out of the side. Meanwhile, Warren Paladino, Ian Mather and Ben O’Donnell returned to the side.
St Pats managed to score inside the opening minute, which set the tone for the game. They scored four tries inside the opening 20 minutes.
After half-an-hour, Pilks got on the board. They spread the ball out wide, and Ian Mather got over for the try. Tom Connick converted to give Pilks something to build on.
But Pats would end up getting the final word of the half. A kick over the top created an overlap, and they went over out wide.
The second half followed a similar pattern. Pats ran in six tries, including two intercepts, as they confirmed victory.
But Pilks did get the final word. Lewis Davies managed to barge over. Connick added the conversion to complete the game.
Pilks will be hoping to bounce back when they welcome Leigh Miners Rangers to Ruskin Drive next Saturday.
