After a glorious sunny day yesterday the icy breeze this morning took us all unaware and made for a tough match against a well drilled West Bank side.

On a cold Sunday morning an enthusiastic Pilks team took on a well prepared West Bank side in a game played in the best of spirit by both teams.

With the opening sets resulting in both teams putting tries on the board it looked like a close match was on the cards.

However West Banks defence held strong and the following sets proved tough for the Pilks team to break.

Fantastic tries by Patrick Buckley, Luc Holloway (who were both missed from last Saturdays match at St Pats!) and Max Tracey gave signs of promising things to come as the team are improving game by game!

With Rebecca Benthom, Jack Bailey, Cameron Cranny and Charlie Swift making meters Pilks were unfortunate not to cross the line on more than one occasion.

Some big tackles by Patrick Buckley,Reece Boadey and Daniel Tabern caused the West bank team more than one or two problems, together with a great hold up over the line by Joshua Thiselton and some fantastic side stepping by Joshua Burton to put Pilks close once again, Aaron Cranny and Jacob Wilding both showing how much they are improving with each match, Pilks were unfortunate to come out with a loosing scoreline.

The team are getting more confident with each game.. With 100% effort at training the results will come, but in the meantime lets enjoy the team spirit and remember... Sundays are Fun Days... Go the RedAmberandBlacks!!!!

Man of the Match .. Patrick Buckley
Top Tackler ....... Reece Boadey
Most Improved...... Jacob Wilding
