Well what can I say? What a match that was this morning!
With a change to the weather from the last few weeks Pilks turned up with a challenge from the coaches ... Don't concede any tries! Although they couldn't quite manage they did Chris and Graham proud, running in a total of 11 tries and with a total of 78 tackles between them everyone of the 14 players played fabulously.
Daniel Tabern was outstanding. Scoring 6 tries and putting in 12 tackles to earn himself the Top Tackler Trophy.
Tries also came from Joshua Thiselton (2)- which means Chris has to do 20 press ups! , Luc Holloway, Patrick Buckley and Max Tracey.. with 33 tackles between them, magnificent effort from the boys.
Joshua Burton, Jack Bailey, Ethan Moore and Rebecca Bentham ducked and dived, getting through defenders and all were unlucky not to get over to score.
Charlie Swift, Jacob Wilding and Cameron Cranny ran hard, fast and made fantastic metres. Aaron Cranny and Daniel Sutton provided great support and put in some super tackles to keep the opposition out.
Played in good spirit all round, by both sides, Pilks are improving match on match, and the decision by the coaches to award todays Man of the Match to the whole team was met with applause all round.. Great morning of rugby!
