Pilkington Recs ARLFC 5 - Newton Storm 4

Pilks U8s turned up today in a determined mood. With some of the team already on their Summer holidays we welcomed Kyle Prescot to the team for his first match.

Newton are a strong team and Pilks worked together today in defense and showed what they are capable of, with Charlie Swift making the most tackles, and Kyle Prescot putting in big hits for his first match.

Cameron Cranny, Luc Holloway, Daniel Sutton, Charlie Swift and Ethan Moore ran the ball in strong.

Joshua Thiselton took advantage of space on the wing and with good footwork went over for 2 of Pilks 5 tries. Max Tracey scored the second in the corner after fantastic off loads by Rebecca Bentham and Joshua Burton.

Daniel Tabern used his speed to sidestep and cross over the line, and Luc Holloway showed power and speed for his try.

Aaron Cranny again showed no fear tackling and running in.

With fantastic all round tackling by all involved, and some great passing rugby Pilks showed skill, speed and ability all round the pitch.

The win was well deserved and leave us going into the summer season of festivals on a high.
