Despite the result an improved team attitude saw a much happier U8s team at the end of the match

In what proved to be a tough encounter Pilks worked hard as a team and the scoreline doesn't reflect the effort put in by the squad against a very good St Judes side.

St Judes took an early lead but Pilks pulled it back with an excellent try from Daniel Tabern (his first of 2) however after that St Judes took the lead again and Pilks where then on playing catch up rugby.

Saying that the team put everything into the game, with Joshua Thiselton, Joshua Burton and Kyle Prescott coming close to the line but unfortunately some great Judes defence kept them out.

Charlie Swift, Jacob Wilding and Dylan Haury pushed forward getting us again close to the line, and excellent backup play by Rebecca Benthom and Max Tracey saw Max scoring the 3rd try of the match.

Jack Bailey and Aaron Cranny were straight into tackles with Cameron Cranny making some big hits. Sam Caddick made some great runs and Ethan Moore and Reece Boadey were all over the pitch supporting their team mates and going in for tackles.

As a team the support play worked well, the back up both in going forward and finishing off tackles is improving week on week. As long as in training we listen to everything Chris and Graham say then Pilks will see themselves back on winning tracks, as they have proved how well they can play when they play as a team!
