Pilks turned up at St Judes full of confidence and making the most of the sunshine for a great morning of summer rugby.
From the first whistle Pilks found themselves under attack from a fast and well organised St Judes side and it wasn't long before St Judes were in for the first try of the match.
Pilks tried hard to run at the St Judes team but their defence was too strong for our smaller players. However Pilks have come on strong in the last few matches and decided to try a few moves of their own.
With every play of the ball Pilks players were looking for support and it worked, some great offloading bringing us closer to the line with each set.
Rebecca Bentham was fast and nippy and outpaced the St Judes players to score Pilks first try of the game.
Max Tracey, Joshua Burton and Patrick Buckley ran hard and fast and got the Pilks team into great positions throughout the game.
Jacob Wilding, Cameron Cranny, Charlie Swift (who scored Pilks 2nd try in fantastic style)and Luc Holloway all powered forward dragging the St Judes defence with them, whilst some neat side steps from Joshua Thiselton, Jack Bailey and Ethan Moore gave the Pilks team confidence that they are able to get down the pitch!
Aaron Cranny had a fantastic game and stopped an almost certain St Judes try.. well done Aaron.
Daniel Sutton put in a great performance and earned himself the well deserved Most Improved award for his performance today.
Charlie Swift was Top Tackler but was closely followed by Ethan Moore and Joshua Thiselton .. well done team!
For his all round great team performance, his support work and throwing himself into the game with such enthusiasm Jack Bailey was the Pilks Man of the Match.
Today proved that although we have things to work at when we turn up to training, we have improved 100% since the start of the season, and as a team we are moving forward with every match... Well done to everyone out there today!!!
