Big help from the U7's boys

First of all I would like to thank the u7's boys for helping us out on Sunday morning, not only did they boost the numbers but they also brought a lot to the team with great tackling in defence and strong running in attack.

In the first half Orrell started strong but pilks kept them out for a few sets with great defence then a few offloads from Orrell and great passing helped Orrell break through the recs defence. Pilks ran strong but only managed to get through orrells line once which Ned did and went on to score.
Score was 3-1 to Orrell.

In the second half pilks started the half and was running strong but only managed to score another try in this half which came from Logan. Again pilks stood tall and put some good defence in but Orrell again scored 3 tries.

All the boys played really well and the most important thing is that all the boys came together as a team and showed that they are all improving week by week.

Player of the match: Logan king, Logan's running has got better and better throughout the season and he added another try to his tally.
Parents choice: Callum Taylor, Callum is from the 7's but never looked out of place with his great defence and one tackle in particular he took down one of the biggest lads on the field by himself.
Coaches choice: Tyrese Daley, every game try plays in he never gives less than 100%. He caught the eye of orrells coach with his strong running and great defence.
Tackler of the match: Ned Fenton brown, Ned loves to tackle and it shows on the tackle count but not only his defence is good his running with the ball is great too.

Ryan halsall and Nathan Flynn stepped up to the 8's to help us out and certainly did that, Ryan's defence was great today with him stopping a few lads on his own and Nathan's running was great making a lot of metres up the field.
Jake Abel again was in contention for an award today like always, he runs strong and tackles well in every game he plays in.
Codey Massam, Liam Coughlin, Keiron Williams all ran well and got involved in the defencive duties.

WELL DONE BOYS
Keep up the good work!
