PILKS STOOD UP AND WAS COUNTED

Pilks went to Widnes on sunday morning and put up a good display.
Every one of the boys gave 100% and worked hard for the team.

In the first half pilks were only able to score 1 try coming form jake abel but it wasn't for a lack of trying, St Marie's went over 3 times but pilks did a lot of great defending to keep it to 3-1.

In the second half pilks was great in attack and kept up the defence. Once again the score was 3-1 to the vikings and jake abel went over for his 2nd of the match.

Captain was Owen Percival and also catching the eye of the vikings coach with his strong running earned himself coaches choice.
Parents choice was awarded to Kyle Dancer cause of his great running and improving defence.
Top tackler went to Callum Taylor, a young lad who has stepped up from the U7's to help us out, not only cause he did the most tackles but he stood up and never took a backward step in defence. Also ran well with the ball.
Player of the match was keiron williams with the best game to date for us. He was beating defenders and also stepping up in defence.

Liam coughlin was great in attack proving hard to tackle gaining lots of metres, Logan King also great in attack using his fast feet and brilliant offloads and one that stood out was the one so jake could score. Codey Massam again stepped up his defence this week and did a few good runs but had to go off with a sore hand and last but not least Jake Abel with another great game both in attack scoring 2 tries and defence with some good tackling.

Would like to say to all the lads very well done
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!
