Pilks recs U8's 2 - 7 Widnes moorfield

Pilk's hosted a Widnes team that they had faced in the very first match of the season, but unfortunately this wasn't the close game that the first one was.
This game I am sad to say Pilks were never in, from the very first run this big Widnes side took the game to Pilks and with Ryan Middlehurst being Pilks only try scorer in the first half, this was a half that would finish 4 tries to 1 in Moorfields favour.

The second half Pilks did improve and with Jack McIntyre scoring in the corner the second half finished 3 - 1 in favour of the visitors

This is a match report I am glad I left so long to write because this game has played on my mind a lot and now I have had time to put things in perspective this result was not as bad as I first felt it was.
Although I can't remember who the player of the match was and I had to do some investigating to find out who played that day and what the score was, I do remember our lads not giving up and playing until the very end.
I do remember us improving in the second half.
I also remembered that a lot of our team have not been playing that long with lads only playing half a season and other lads with less than a hand full of games under their belts.

I would like to give Josh Kempster a special mention for playing really well on his debut.
And after looking at the pic's it also jogged my memory how big and strong some of their lads are.

So well done to Ben Lynch, Ryan Middlehurst , Jack McIntyre, Ryan Halsall, Rhys Edwards, Josh Kempster , Dezi Wilkinson, Oliver Hollingsworth, Kian Robinson, George Donoghue, Maxwell Nevitt, Samuel Nevitt, Leon Griffin and Carl Grimley for showing a lot of pride.

I would like to thank everyone for their continuing support on what I think has been a successful season to start the season with 9 players and finishing it with 17 that proves to me that we are doing something right
