What a way to end a great season

Our under 11s travelled to Chorley Panthers for our last outing of the season.
The boys were looking to carry on the impressive run that has seen them remain unbeaten since the summer break.
Chorley are a big strong side who were also great with ball in hand.
Recs didn't get going in the opening ten minutes. Going behind to an excellent worked try.
Pilks faught hard to get back into the game with some really strong effort in defence.
The pressure finally paid off with the lads grabbing two late try's in the hall from Brad Abbott, and Liam Wright
Half time
Chorley Panthers 6-12 Pilks Recs.

The second half was outstanding from the boys running in five try's and conceding just one.
Brad Abbott completed his hat trick with two scores.
Connor Stubbs scored twice to end the season as it started scoring try's for fun
The highlight of the game, maybe even our season came when Aaron King saw a gap down the blind side and off-loaded to Tom Binsteed to touch down in the corner for his first try for the club.
The try celebrations showed how much team spirit there is in this group , as even the substitutes ran the full length to join in with the lads.
Full time
Chorley Panthers 12-42 Pilks Recs.
Our try scorers were
Brad Abbott x3
Liam Wright
Connor Stubbs x2
Tom Binsteed.
Conversions Brad Abbot x7 (from 7).

Our awards went to
Auto safety centre most improved
Tom Binsteed (great support play for his try, and strong defence all day)
Joint Universal Tanker Solutions Coaches Award.
Connor Stubbs ( two more outstanding trys)
Ellis Horton ( strong running with the ball from full back and excellent link with his outside backs).
Manheim Autos Man of the Match
Brad Abbott (unstoppable with the ball and never missed a tackle. Goal kicking was as reliable as ever).

These boys have surpassed all expectations this season and having been an absolute pleasure to be involved with.
Well done boys keep it up!
