Pilkington Recs U7's hosted a Clockface team that was made up of mostly year 2 players, with Pilk's being a relatively new team with a mix of year ones and year two's this lack of experience showed today. Having said that Pilk's proved today that they are a team in the making, refusing to give up and keep getting up no mater what was thrown at them.
Ryan Halsall was awarded player of the match for his refusal to take a backward step no matter what, Liam Coughlin received parents choice for another great performance for a second week in row again proving a hard player to put down and Zak Mulcahy scored Pilk's only try of the match which helped him secure coaches choice.
Jake Abel gave his usual 100% performance with some determined runs just missing out on a special certificate this week, Harry Thompson got back to his best showing the sort of performance that that saw him score his first try against Newton Storm.
Nathan Flynn, Ben Lynch and Jack Thompson Smith all in our opinion had the best game's they have played to date, all three taking the ball forward to the best of their abilities and showing great improvement on previous weeks.
Well done Pilks both Dave Flynn and myself can see the improvements each week and believe this team is moving in the right direction keep up the good work.
