Pilks U7 curtain raiser

Pilkington Recs U7's played OSJ Jets as a curtain raiser for the open age 1st team and although the score did not flatter Pilk's U7's the performance did.

Pilk's ran well with every chance they got and although only breaking the try line in the last third they did threaten OSJ's line on quiet a few occasions and proved that when they ran straight down the middle they could make good ground. It was that direct running down the middle that resulted in Pilk's only try of the match.
Again this week the defence was good in spells, but Pilks were up against a side with some big physical players, with this in mind Pilks put in a good all round performance and one they should be proud of.

Logan King was honorary captain and had a good solid game running really well, player of the match was Liam Coughlin who as usual worked hard and was a hand full for opposition. Parents choice was Tyrese Daley who it is easy to forget as only played a hand full of matches, he ran strong and tackled hard. While Zak Mulchay walked away with coaches choice for another all round good performance and adding to his try scoring tally.

Ryan Manning another player who it is easy to forget hasn't played that many games also took the ball forward well, as well as showing off his passing skills.
Nathan Flynn and Codey Massam both ran strong tackled well and both players worked hard at acting half back.
Jake Abel was his usual self, strong determind runs mixed with tackles that are above his weight, i cant think of a match that he didn't give 100% with a smile on hie face.
Jack Thompson Smith played really well this week and took the ball up field to the best of his ability.
Last but not least Harry Thompson who in my opinion had the best game he has played for weeks and was running really well and looked like he is getting back to his best.

well done keep it up
