A great performance by Pilkington Recs U7's just proving that this team is really coming together, regardless of results they just keep going, not only never giving up but as in this weeks performance and last weeks performance they got better as the game went on.
Mayfield played some good rugby to score their tries just proving Pilks are no push over and are willing to tackle. Like last weeks game Pilks threatened the opponents line with virtually every set of six, but Mayfield showed some great defence to keep Pilks at bay. Just like last week's game Pilks started to score tries in the last third, but this week went one better by out scoring the opposition by 4 tries to 3.
Honorary Captain this week was Jack Thompson Smith who took the ball forward really well, coaches choice was Jake Abel a player who this week seemed even more determind than ever in his running and tackling. Tackler of the match went to Ryan Halsall not just for his hard tackling but more for his tackling style going low and using his shoulder.
Parents choice went to Liam Coughlin who scored his first try for the club with a great long range effort.
Player of the match was Zak Mulcahy who not only scored a hat trick but worked tireless in attack and defence also in my opinion played his best match of the season so far.
Harry Thompson took the game forward with some good run's and was unlucky not to score, Nathan Flynn who seem's to be really enjoying his rugby at the minute taking the ball up well and doing his fair share in defence. Ryan Manning also took the ball forward well and worked hard in defence and last but not least Logan King ran well and proved his willingness to run the ball when there was a little bit confusion with who's run it was he was one of the first there to take a run.
All in all a good performance all round.
Well done keep it up we are getting better each week
