In a confusing start to the game which saw Folly Lane restart the match three time's, this caught Pilks Recs out and Folly Lane scored on their first run. Pilks recovered well and in a good display in attack and defence the first third finished 3 - 2.
This quality of play continued throughout the second and third periods which saw Pilks crossing the line once more in the second third.
Pilk's tackled hard and had some good chances on Folly Lanes line, by the last third although Pilks did not score their tackling was great and it took some good running by Folly Lanes faster stronger players to break them down.
Honorary captain was Joseph Hunter who was very unlucky not to score after making a great break.
Player of the match was Codey Massam after a good performance both in attack and defence.
Zak Mulcahy received parents choice after adding another two tries to his tally.
Tackler of the match went to Callum Taylor for the second week in a row, to quote Dave Flynn "his tackling was awesome".
Ryan Halsall was awarded coaches choice for tackling well, he also managed to score his second try for the club.
Harry Thompson, Nathan Flynn, Liam Coughlin, Jake Abel and Ryan Manning all played well making this a good all round team performance.
To finish this match report I am going to use a quote from another one of the coaches, this one was from Dave Massam "the best performance to date".
Well done Pilks keep it up
