On another warm Sunday morning Pilkington U7's faced Chorley Panthers in a game that was played in the true spirit that the game should be played in. With Chorley lending Pilks players when needed and a really good and fair atmosphere created by all coaches and players alike.
Although some of Pilks players seemed a little tired and their minds seemed to be wondering a little, they still showed what they are capable of.
Pilks tackled well and stayed with Chorley through out the match, with the first two thirds ending three tries to two in Chorley's favour, unfortunately in the last third Pilks could't score, but they did up their defence and limited Chorley to only two tries and defended their line with vigour especially in the final set of six.

Honorary captain Ryan Halsall played well with some good runs and hard tackling.

Player of the match Callum Taylor had another strong game this week, it is easy to forget he is one of our youngest players and has only played less than a hand full of games.

Logan King received coaches choice for his strong running, taking on the line every chance he got.

Nathan Flynn who is usually known for his side stepping, won tackler of the match with one tackle in particular standing out.

Zak Mulcahy playing as always working hard, tackling well and throwing in a couple of tries to boot. Jake Abel and Harry Thompson both had good games, making this another good all round team performance.
