I would like to start this match report with an apology for my miss calculation of the substitutes which saw some children playing more of the match than others this was not done intentionally and I will sort it out.
Today's game against Culcheth was a good spirited game played in the true spirit of rugby league. Pilks started the match well and both teams scored in their first set of six, but despite Pilks having a good day in attack didn't manage to score until the last third when they crossed the line twice.
Honorary captian was dezi wilkinson
Callum Taylor played well in attack and defence earning him player of the match.
Logan King ran well and scored his first try for the club and was awarded parents choice.
Kyle Dancer also ran well and scored his first try for the club and this caught the eye of their coach who picked him out for coaches choice award.
Harry Thompson, Zak Mulcahy, Codey Massam, Jake Abel, Liam Coughlin, Ryan Manning, Nathan Flynn, Dezi Wilkinson and Ryan Halsall all ran well.
All of a sudden the whole team seem's to have learned how to side step at the same time and were looking to pass the ball whenever they got the opportunity, the play of the ball and the passes from acting half back were much improved this week.
However defensively Pilks did not play as well as previous weeks which was the reason the coaches all agreed not to award the tackler of the match this week.
Talking to the coach from Culcheth after the match, he commented on the skill level of our players saying how well you all stepped and how good we off loaded the ball.
Well done keep it up
