After last weeks great display unfortunately Pilks could not back this up this week.
This was a game I feel Pilks could have won.
Pilks turned up in a funny mood not paying attention and messing around, because of this Pilks put in a poor first third performance. Pilks were too busy arguing over acting half back and who's run it is next, this lack of concentration cost Pilks the match in the end letting in two tries and failing to score themselves in the first third.
In the second third even though Pilks were still not up to the standard they can play, they did up their game and the second third finished 1 try a piece.
With Pilks getting back into the game by the third period and out scoring the blues 2 tries to 1 but unfortunately this was a to little to late.
This in my opinion was a game that Pilks threw away and may have took there opponent's for granted, because although the blues are young they play like a more mature side. Although Pilks weren't at their best, all in all it was a good game of rugby played in a good atmosphere.
Honorary captain Ryan Halsall lead from the front, running straight and strong scoring 2 tries and tackling well earning him Player of Match award.
Tackler of the Match Callum Taylor was great again this week and his cover tackling was second to none and this wasn't unnoticed by their coaches who mentioned what a great player he is.
Nathan Flynn who was Parents Choice this week showed again this week what a good player he is, eager in the tackle and adding to his try tally.
Connor Stubbs and Ben lynch both left the field at different periods of the game, but credit to both of them they both came back on and didn't hide took their runs.
Dezi Wilkinson, Harry Thompson, Tyler Robinson and Joseph Hunter all doing there bit as well.
On reflection after a slow start Pilks bounced back and to be fair some of the passing and off loads were great.
Well done boys keep it up.
